Tony Wise is currently a picture editor and director working in Los Angeles. He began his career editing non-fiction television at the award-winning Towers Productions in Chicago. Tony moved to L.A. in 2004 and immediately began working for PlasterCITY Digital Post. From its humble beginnings with a staff of four, PCDP grew into an industry leader in digital non-linear post-production. During his tenure at PCDP, Tony was lead editor on several successful independent films, including Stiletto, starring Tom Berenger and Michael Biehn; All In, starring Michael Madsen and Dominique Swain; and Fast Girl, starring Mircea Monroe. Along with his film work Tony has cut regional and national commercial campaigns for brands including Ford, Wal-Mart, Hooters, Ducati, and Norms Restaurants.
In 2006 Tony spearheaded the creation of PCDP’s full-service production arm, Blue Cow Creative. With a focus on creating branded entertainment for online media outlets and corporate clients, Tony directed and cut award-winning projects for companies such as Heavy.com, BCBG Maxaria, and Yamaha. In 2008 Tony wrote and directed the short film Bottled Up. It went on to play a number of celebrated film festivals across the country while garnering multiple awards, including The Audience Award at the 2009 Charleston International Film Festival.
In early 2009 Tony left PCDP to edit and direct independently. Over the last two years he has edited several independent films, including Last Will, starring Tatum O’Neil, I’m Not Like That No More, starring Paul Rodriguez, Crossed The Line, starring Caryn Ward, and Karaoke Man, starring Brian Dietzen and Caitlin Crosby.
Tony recently completed the script for the feature film Bottled Up with writing partner Suzanne Krowiak. He is currently developing the movie with Vitamin A Films. Tony lives in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Los Angeles with his wife Leslie, daughter Emery, dog Stella, and molting chickens Vera and Dorothy.
